Mjóeyri Travel Service
The Mjóeyri Travel service is ideally located on the outskirts of town Eskifjörður. The original family house, dating from 1895, is recently refurbished and preserves the atmosphere of yesteryear warmth and comfort.
Mjóeyri boasts a spectacular view of fjords Reydarfjörður and Eskifjörður and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast and dinner are optional if previously ordered.
Accommodation is offered in five rooms, single, double and triple rooms with joint cooking facilities, a living room and washroom facilities. All rooms have radio and TV. The premises are a no-smiking area. A spacious veranda lends access to sleeping bag facilities with cooking facilities and washroom.
Mjóeyri offers accommodation for 6-7 people in eace of five recent cottages, comfortably garnished with a veranda and excellent view. The cooking facilites are fully garnished. The living rooms include a couch which can be transformed into a comfortable queen-size bed. The upper storeys constitute a room with a double bed and an attic provides sleeping facilites for 2-3 persons.
All cottages include internet access.

Bakkaflot Travel Service
Bakkaflot is located by road number 752 about 10 kilometers from road number 1 at Varmahlíð.
We offer rafting tours in the Austari Jökulsá river and the Vestari Jökulsá river.
We also provide accommodation.
18 rooms, all with wash basins, a summerhouse and camping site at the banks of Svartá river.
Breakfast, lunch and dinners available.
Licenced bar, soft drinks, candies etc.
Hot tubs and a small outdoor swimmingpool.

Reyðarfjörður Hostel – Hjá Marlín
The guesthuse/youth hostel is run jointly with the Café Hjá Marlín. It is located in two houses, one of which has 5 rooms and the other 10 double- and triple rooms. Accommodation capacity totals 33, available either as ready-made beds or sleeping-bag accommodation. Breakfast-service is an option but cooking facilities are at hand.
In summer the hostel offers boat trips for angling or bird watching as well as short sight-seeing trips with a driver-guide. Internet-, laundry- and bar service available. Please contact for prices and booking information.
